Best Buds

My best bud from growing up, Amber Parks, was in town this past week. She and I were big troublemakers together when we were younger, and probably still would be if we lived near each other. She lives in Kentucky now with her husband. She is due in June for her first baby-girl. We had a little get together with a few friends and our moms last night at Peter Piper. It was so good to see her and I can't wait to see her beautiful little girl in a few weeks.

Much better

So Maddi was fine the next day. Thank goodness. She started acting like herself again yesterday and all her other symptoms were gone. The checkup at the doctor went well, although she did have to get 1 more shot of that rosefrin stuff. But she's good. So woo hoo for healthy babies!!

taking a sick day

So Maddi woke up today with a 104 degree temperature. Yesterday she was kinda pukey-more than usual-and she has had the runny nose for a few days along with Bailey. She also didn't want to eat at all and was really whiny and inconsolable. My poor baby. So we went to the doctor where she was "cathed" for a urine sample....twice. Then that came back normal so we were off to the lab for some blood tests. After she was poked twice we went back to the doctor's office to learn she'd get a shot of rosefrin (don't know if that's how you spell it, but it's some kind of 24 hour antibiotic) and they are doing blood cultures.
So she slept practically the entire day and you could tell she just felt like poop. So we have to go back tomorrow for a checkup and then we'll hear back about the blood cultures in a few days. So pray for my little Maddi. It's probly just a virus that we can't do anything for but I'm glad the doctor is being extra cautious since she is only 3 months old. Here's a pic of my poor baby and her 2 bandages on her arms. You can't see the bandaid on her leg from the shot but it's there too.

Bailey's 2nd

Bailey's 2nd birthday was on Sunday! She is most definitely a 2 year old. She walked around saying, "birthday," all day long. We didn't do anything too fancy. We had the family and a few friends over for a bbq and cake. Bailey got some cool gifts. Mom and Dad got her a t-ball set with the plastic bat and balls, a color wonder coloring book, some fancy necklace beads and a vegetales movie, Jonah. She also got some cool new shoes, a couple shirts, a hat, a strange ball, an obnoxious dog on a leash (thanks a lot Shelley), and a Tom and Jerry movie.

I think she made out. She was really excited to open her gifts and had a lot of fun with it. So I think we're half way through her terrible two years now and looking forward to the end. We love her and can't believe 2 years have already passed. We are so blessed to have Bailey.

mud pie anyone?

Note to self, don't let Bailey go play outside by herself while you feed the baby. Water runs off Grandma's roof and Bailey loves to play in water. You can't tell very well but she is sitting in a puddle of mud. She loves to play in dirt and she loves to play in water and she loves her bubbles, so it was a bonus to have them altogether today. The best part was hosing her off afterward. She seemed to think it was the funniest thing ever. I was laughing out loud at how hard she was laughing. So, on to outfit number 2 for Bailey today (Maddi is already on outfit 3 from the explosions out of both ends).

Home Sweet Home

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!! I can't believe it! We are going to live in Rancho Sahuarita. For those of you who don't know, Rancho Sahuarita is southwest of Tucson near Green Valley. It's a master planned community in Sahuarita with tons of builders. The house is so awesome and we love it!!

The community is really active with young families. There is a huge community center, a water park, tons of parks, playgrounds, pools, a gym w/ babysitting, kids rooms with x-boxes and gamecubes, toddler rooms, basketball/tennis/volleyball courts, and tons more. They do lots of community events all the time and there are even 3 wards down there. The house should be done in Sepetember-tentatively. It's the furthest I've been from home but I don't think I'll ever have to leave with all the things they have going on there.
Now if you don't mind, I have to go take some more buyers's remorse pills.
